The Seoul National University Institute of Korean Politics and the Joongmin Foundation for Social Theory jointly hosted an academic seminar entitled "Can Democracy Flourish in Economic Recession?: Korea in a Comparative Perspective". Presentations were given by Professor Ursula Hoffman-Lange of the University of Bamberg and Professor Sang-Jin Han of Seoul National University.
